Welcome
to Burt's Hilltop Poultry. We are family based and have been
federally established since 1996. This is a family owned and
operated plant. Our plant is located on the family farm South of
Utica, Minnesota; approximately 110 miles Southeast of the Twin
Cities in Minnesota.

Family
business consist of Merlin & Joann Burt - Owners/Managers,
Kermit Burt - Maintenance Supervisor, Kim Alvarez - Evisceration
Supervisor, Kristie Burt - Bookkeeping & Packaging Supervisor,
Kevin Burt - Kill Area Leader, Keri Burt - Shipping Foreman, Kyle
Burt - further Processing Leader.
All
of the family members have had anywhere from 10 to 40 years
experience in the processing of poultry. The business has grown over the last
several years where we now have added a meat locker plant for beef,
pork and other red meats. Both plants are USDA inspected.
- Every bird that comes into the plant is inspected and approved
by USDA Inspectors. We are currently under the HAACP & SSOP
Plan, and will continue to make our customers feel satisfied. We
use cryovac shrink bags to help prevent freezer burn, and seal
in freshness and flavour for longer shelf expectancy.
